LIGHT OF HOPE – YOUTH SOCCER PROGRAM

A PROGRAM DEVOTED TO REACHING YOUTH THROUGH SPORTS

Light of Hope is a soccer program that is held twice a week on Saturday and Sunday. This program is the latest addition to Village of Hope, established in 2015, directed towards youth aged 10-18. Currently, we have both male and female teams in our soccer program, with an average of 30-40 youth on each team. A full length soccer field, complete with goals, soccer balls, and jerseys are available to all program participants.

We invite the youth in Toch Village to come play soccer, be apart of a team, and have fun. Here, they will find community with each other and hope in Christ. It is way to reach youth that you may not reach otherwise. It is a unique approach to making disciples among the youth of Toch Village. By using soccer to build relationships it gives you a welcoming position to share the gospel.

Our community is troubled with poverty, drugs, alcohol, and violence, however, in Christ we find a hope that can conquer all! The heart behind Light of Hope is to eradicate drug and alcohol use amongst our vulnerable youth, paving a different course than the one set by the previous generations. The vision is to engage our youth in a loving and inviting community that encourages them to fill their time with the pursuit of greater things, promoting interpersonal skills, discipleship, and self-confidence.
