SHINING GOD’S LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS
Community Light Church (CLC) started in 2010 only a year after Vuthy moved to Toch Village. As the only Christian, he planted the very first church in the community. Vuthy’s saw a dire need to create a welcoming environment to show the love of Christ in a predominately Buddhist community. His desire behind opening CLC was to have a space where people can come just as they are and be loved for who they are. Village of Hope wants to reach people and introduce the community to Christianity by bringing and proclaiming the love of Jesus in the depths of Toch Village. CLC offers encouragement, discipleship, and community to people of Toch Village.
Church services are held every Sunday. We offer worship in Khmer and English, a Biblical message, and outreach events specialized for children, youth, and adults. Our Sunday teachings are given by our team member, Sophea. Sophea graduated from both discipleship training school (DTS) through Youth With A Mission, and SBS Bible College. We currently have 25-30 church attendees.
